Interesting conversation. Again. I will remain a United Methodist for the rest of my life mainly because the more I read about John Wesley and his beliefs and leadership, the more I am impressed with our wonderful history. Unfortunately, the split coming saddens me and in many ways our denomination has gotten away from the Wesley principles. It is what was touched upon in this conversation, and that is freedom without responsibility, but it wasn't said in that way. As professing Christians, what we say and do matters, not only to God but to each other. Wesley welcomed all who wanted to worship and believe in Jesus and I feel that we must continue in that tradition. Thank you again for giving me something to think about.
