A Weblog Dedicated to the Discussion of the Christian Faith and 21st Century Life
I do not seek to understand that I may believe, but I believe in order to understand. For this also I believe, –that unless I believed, I should not understand.-- St. Anselm of Canterbury (1033-1109)

The Bible in a Year: An Invitation

Are you are interested in reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation in a year? On December 31st, I will post a link here to the first month of daily readings accompanied each day by a brief video commentary. I will do the same on the last day of each month for the next month through December 2023. For those already subscribing to my Daily Lectionary Reflections, it may be too much to do both and I understand that. At Faith Seeking Understanding I endeavor to offer a number of options through my blog, daily reflections, books, videos, podcasts, and social media that allow individuals to tailor their spiritual and intellectual life to their preferences and schedule. You can check out my web portal to all things Faith Seeking Understanding here.

If you don’t read the whole Bible in 2023 with me, and if you have never done so, I encourage you to do so sometime in the future. It’s a lot of reading, but getting a general overview of the Scriptures in this way will highlight major themes that will assist your Bible reading for years to come; and each day I will offer an overview of the text on video.

Remember that at Faith Seeking Understanding we invite everyone to ponder profound things, and it is always free of charge.
