Lord God, whose blessed Son our Savior gave his body to be whipped and his face to be spit upon: Give us grace to accept joyfully the sufferings of the present time, confident of the glory that shall be revealed; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Hi Allan, you have said, “through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,”

Can you please tell me, which one God ?
Is that one God his Son, or is that one God his father ?
Or are both together a God each ?

Hi Paul,

The one God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of Israel, and the Trinitarian God revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the prayer, the term "God" is short-hand for "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit."
