Dallas Willard, a Christian philosopher, and Geza Vermes, a British scholar of Jewish Hungarian descent have both passed away. Willard's book, The Divine Conspiracy is a must read. Vermes' book, Jesus the Jew has become a classic in the area of Jesus studies.Tony Jones pays tribute to Willard. Mark Goodacre offers his thoughts on Vermes.
They will be greatly missed.
