Dietrich Bonhoeffer: A Church Father for the Postmodern Era

An informative interview with Erix Metaxas author of Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Prophet, Martyr, Spy.

In the interview, Metaxas mentions how Bonhoeffer was deeply touched by the worship and preaching of the African American churches in New York and was thoroughly disenchanted with what he heard coming from the pulpits of white Mainline Protestant Churches.

I'm reading Metaxas' book right now but haven't gotten to his travel to NY. My guess is that Bonhoeffer found them to be authentic.
