What a great interview! thanks Allan.
I particularly liked what Eric said about how we Christians often speak too forcefully about faith and create a high-pressure situation that isn't really conducive to our purpose. It goes along with his closing statement about how we have to trust the Lord to work.
We often get so "out there" in our messages that we become like the cultural elites he's trying to reach that people can't relate and the mission is not fruitful.
Trusting the Lord, to me, means that we have to be ourself. That is often more scary than trying to convince someone about Jesus.
