I somewhat agree with Craig. Even though Jim brings good points to discuss, and I do believe that the church has failed in many areas concerning social justice, etc. It seems to me that he places too much trust in gov't. It appears that he believes that salvation comes from the gov't not from God. It appears that for him gov't is the 'cure all'. The reputation is that the church is to 'political' (UnChristian by Kinneman). I believe that Jim is just fine with that.

Not at all impressed with the statements made by Wallis. Craig's critical response is precise and extremely well stated.

I am disturbed by Wallis's fuzzy thinking and attack of racism on the Tea Party. Perhaps the conditions that make the Tea Party a vialbe political option for millions of Americans is in order. Political parties, government and debt make the Tea Party possible. An honest debate would deal with the issues that created the Tea Party. Wallis turns into a democratic hack with his argument.
