No. Though you won't find me out shopping today, unless for an excellent deal on a good book! Or for another very good reason, neither of which I've acted on in my life so far, that I can remember.
But we do need to protest greed by refusing to live that way. By living in simplicity and seeking to grow in the grace of giving, generous in the giving of our resources.

No. What is wrong with getting a discount? I can buy for family members and for toys for tots. But bring your values with you--say please, thank you, excuse me, etc. and don't push or grab. If someone is rude to you, answer with kindness and charity.
I would love to say YES ABSOLUTELY! When retailers play on greed, excess, materialism, and preys on your willingness to spend more than you have I would say yes. But the equal argurment could be made that people can be frugal and smart and save money in making wise purchasing decisions on Black Friday. So action or no action, it ultimately comes down to what is the driving force within your heart?
Too late. I bought an external hard drive at Staples yesterday. On the other hand, it's already in use. The problem, as I see it, is that we have a Christian holy season strapped onto a much older and more firmly established Pagan holiday season.
