This is where my jaw dropped.

I think he just made the case for more money to be given to Christian Education.

I have no idea how to even begin to respond to this...

"If the King James Bible was good enough for my Lord and Savior, it should be good enough for me!"

I can't remember whom this quote was attributed to, but the level of ignorance attributed to such a mindset cannot be overcome. Fundamentalism is as much a poison to the life of the Church as is complacency.

Michael, that quote has been attributed to many different people. Whether or not they all actually said it is up for debate.

But anyway, damn, Jack Chick would be proud

Dang, my book wasn't listed on the burn list.

Now that is sad and pathetic.

Interesting. That was a pretty extensive list of currently popular Christian writers, for all the names I could make out on the poster. I can't help but wonder if this book burning is more for attention to be brought to that particular church than an honest 'act of faith'.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

And the church is called 'Amazing Grace'... is it just me or did anyone spot the irony in that?

Sad, sad, sad.

I link to this in trying to make a point this morning on my blog.
