I just wrote about how we understand responsibility on my blog site...

Question, is taking care of our family responsibilities considered sub-par behavior for the "morally develeoped"? It seems to me we are in "social crisis" today because families have failed to maintain these responsibilities...so now, we have children who have no father, wives who have no husbands, fathers who "diss" their reponsiblity toward their family and society is compelled to address how to "fix it"...

I am in no way suggesting that the 'traditional family" is the only way that "works", but I am suggesting that we have complicated our society's failures by allowing diversity of behavior, when it comes to family commitments...

I am not suggesting that I know the answer, but what our responsibilities are, should be determined by our values....perhaps, Americans should have a transformation of values, as it concern certain responsibilities...and can we subscribe a "one size fits all" system?

When talking about responsiblity, what about the issues concerning the responsibilities of man toward the stewardship of the planet..? If there are limited resources, then how do we determine how to distribute them...where our commitments lie, will play out in our behavior...so I do not think that comtemplation should be "made fun of"...
