I like Tom Wright & I like being a Christian but if I thought there really were people suffering forever & ever in a place called hell I think I would turn buddhist! How can any Christian or even civilised person accept this possibility? Wasn't there an early church father saying one of the chief pleasures of being saved is looking over the battlements of heaven & seeing the damned roasting forever in the flames?! And the most appalling thing is this church father was totally logical & right - if hell exists, our Christain God ordains this & we should share His attitude of joy & approval!! Well, sorry to rant on, I just feel deeply...
