Thanks, Allan for sharing this. I was certainly aware of him, but now aware of his background. What a great reunion it will be of all of the redeemed someday! And it's a good thing we'll have plenty of time (which in some manner we'll surely continue on) to get to know each other and fellowship and work and be- in Jesus, in God, all that is to be so then.

But surely a rich life lived from this one recently who has left us.

I dipped into his 'public square' entries in FT from time to time, and I was aware of an acute and probing mind at work. I didn't always agree, but I appreciated his rigor and passion. He will be missed. Thanks for the reminder.

When I was a young seminary student at Duke, I read many things that Neuhaus wrote. Even those who very much disagreed with him knew what a deep and nuanced thinker he was; and he was a very faithful disciple of Jesus Christ.
