A Prayer for the Third Sunday in Kingdomtide

Lord, we are quick to sin. We forgive our sibling only seven times yet commend ourselves for being so merciful. You cancel our enormous debt, yet we strangle our neighbor over a tiny debt. We squash people of weaker faith by being judgmental. We live for ourselves, we die for ourselves, acting as if you do not exist. For the sake of one who died on the cross, forgive us. Rescue us from the temptations that pursue us, the baptized. Amen.

Forgive my ignorance, but please can you enlighten me on your use of the term 'Kingdomtide' - which apparently began 3 weeks ago? It is good to have your blog interspersed with prayer. Thanks.

Thank you,Alan. On eo four Ministers wore green stoles when preaching yesterday. I must ask hi whether he wears green for the whole period after Pentecost oronly after the end of August. Interesting!
