Which presidential candidate's tax policy will reduce the national debt? Actually neither-- both plans will increase the federal deficit substantially over the next ten years.

As usual, this seems to assume zero economic stimulus from tax cuts. Tax cuts cause a temporary decrease in government revenue; revenues always go up in the longer term.
Of course, the best thing they can do for the deficit/debt is to stop spending so much money.
Chris:
The report does estimate revenues.
I do agree, however-- cutting spending is critical. The only way that will happen is if we have divided goverment with one party in charge of Congress and the other in charge of the White House.
Truth in politics? Only in a fantasy world. :-)
