A Weblog Dedicated to the Discussion of the Christian Faith and 21st Century Life ___ I do not seek to understand that I may believe, but I believe in order to understand. For this also I believe, –that unless I believed, I should not understand.-- St. Anselm of Canterbury (1033-1109)
In a nutshell, Allan, I think such behavior is not simply indicative of a rejection of any sort of moral code more than it is a reflection of a lack of respect for humanity. We've become rather selfish rather than self-sustaining. Former US senator Phil Gramm got hammered for calling us a nation of "whiners", but that's the population segment we seem to hear from most: "poor me, I'm a victim, etc ..."
There is no regard for our fellow man, and I think this lack of regard is reflected in each of these categories.

Thanks for the link, Allan. I'm not sure Barna's findings are all that surprising, but they're always interesting.
