Here is the way the Weekly Roundup will work:
You may e-mail me one post per week from your blog. E-mail the one you like the best or one that is meaningful to you. Please place your name in the body of the e-mail along with the link to your post. The e-mail address is umweeklyroundup@yahoo.com. I may also include additional posts I read throughout the week and find particularly good. I will also choose a post for the weekly "Best of the Methoblogosphere" award. The choice will not be based upon whether or not I agree with the post. I will be looking for the post that best stirs up one's thinking, and perhaps brings a somewhat different angle to conventional wisdom. Posts on religion or politics that are passionate in opinion and hard-hitting will be posted, but I will not publish posts that are insulting and call people names. We will follow Wesley's dictum, "In all things charity." In general, I will choose one post per week, but occasionally more than one post may be selected. I will post the MBWR on Saturdays, but I reserve the right to occasionally post on Sundays when my schedule on Saturday is quite full.
I will include your post in the Weekly Roundup assuming that it meets the following requirements:
1) Your post must be at least four paragraphs in length.
2) No posts that are solely about personal content will be included. I will include a personal story about a vacation, a special family event, or your Uncle Morty, if you relate the material in order to make a more profound theological, biblical, moral, or devotional point, but the post has to be more about the latter than the former. I will also include personal material that concerns a crisis, hospitalization, death, etc. I will highlight those posts so that all of us can marshal to prayer.
3) In order to have posts included you must be a member of the Methodist Blogroll and you must list at least five members of the MB on your blog. I will periodically check blogs to make sure that those who submit posts are following these two rules, but for the most part, I will assume that you will be on your honor on this one (Remember, John Wesley is watching!)
4) The MBWR is open to all who identify themselves as Wesleyan in theology and character. For those of you who are not so theologically inclined (that is, in Wesleyan fashion), I write an Internet Wanderings post every week or two. If you have a post that you would like included there, please e-mail your name and link your post. Don't forget to identify yourself as a non-Wesleyan, so I can put you in the right place. The e-mail address is also umweeklyroundup@yahoo.com.
5) I will also post items that highlight certain ministries of your church. It is helpful to know what the local church is doing that contributes to the ministry of the church universal.

Hooray! Thank you Allan.
Ditto! I'm happier than a coyote with a mile of buffalo guts!
Well, I hope you guys will particpate; but please don't e-mail the buffalo guts.
wow! nice! brave soul allan, i will be happy to give over methoblogosphere overlord status to you
Allan,
I look forward to learning from more good Methodist friends, such as yourself. I love the Methodist tradition and John Wesley, even if I'm not a Methodist myself!
Thank you, Allan, for taking on this incredible thing!
Glad to hear this news!
God is Good! Happy Thanksgiving!
Ted:
Thanks. I hope you will comment on the Weekly Roundup in order to keep the Methodists on the straight and narrow!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
Thanks for your comments everyone.
I hope you will participate. Send me those e-mails.
Allan
Thank you for doing this. Also for the prayer request below. I didn't expect it - but it's been very helpful and encouraging to know that methodists are praying for me and the situation in our church.
May God's will be done and may I learn what He wants me to from this. May His healing hand also be on the wounds and may His spirit of reconciliation and love prevail.
Amen
Thanks for doing this. I'll be blogging from the NYWC in Charlotte this weekend (comment me with details on how to contact you if any of you are going to be there as well, please), so I'll be making multiple posts about goings-on there. And yes, as a passionate Methodist, I will be paying attention to what the speakers have to say with regards to traditional denominationalism in general as well as anything pertaining to Methodism in particular.
Thanks again for all your hard work!
Allen, Thanks!
Somehow I totally, but totally, forgot to email you a post this week. Bless you for visiting my blog and picking one anyhow.
You do so much for us all, and are much appreciated.
Thanks again,
Gerry Charlotte Phelps
